Luke is a Chemical Engineer with a Masters in Business Administration. With this combination of skills, he has been a pioneer in product development and advancement across many professional industries. Luke has roots originating in the semi-conductor industry where he worked on intricate commercial development and product launches. As his career progressed, he translated these intricacies to the construction materials industry where he worked on Pavestone© anchor and retain wall systems, Elemix© lightweight concrete, and US Concrete's Aridus© rapid drying concrete products.

Dr. Kevin MacDonald, PE, FACI
Kevin MacDonald is a Materials Engineer and consultant with specific expertise in production and performance of concrete. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota and Ontario, Canada, and is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute. Presently, he owns an operates Beton Consulting Engineers out of Minnesota. He holds a Master's Degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering Materials from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. His dissertation and thesis dealt with chloride ion induced corrosion of steel in concrete and designing concrete to prevent this phenomenon from occurring.
Dr. MacDonald is Co Chair of Committee 130 B "Sustainability" and Vice-Chair of ACI 306 "Cold Weather Concreting", and a member of Committee 620, "Laboratory Technician Certification", ACI 302 "Construction of Concrete Slabs on Ground", and the Technical Activities Committee. He has published a number of papers dealing with the durability of concrete and practical aspects of the production of High Performance Concrete using large quantities of recycled materials. He is a recipient of the ASCE Charles Pankow Award for Innovation for work on high performance concretes with 98 percent reclaimed materials. He is the president of the Minnesota Chapter and a past member of the Southern Ontario Chapter.
His education includes a baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering, cum laude. He was awarded the University of Windsor Board of Governors Medal for highest standing in class, as well as the Chemical Institute of Canada's Medal for academic achievement.
